Career Goal

I am looking for a role as the leader of a creative, problem-solving, fun & enthusiastic team that uses principles of e-operations, e-business, digital business design and e-commerce to radically transform an existing business. Results of this transformation will include increased customer satisfaction, higher revenues, lower cost and increased margins, along with lower employee turnover and higher morale. Ideally this role will challenge me and encourage me to grow personally and develop new skills. It should draw on my leadership, management, and problem-solving skills, and be a people-oriented role (both internally and externally).

Career Highlights

Rapidly developed a new global digital business and technology design for Cable & Wireless (called Bluefield, based in the USA) and deployed the first four releases from November 1999 to February 2001. The initial release was constructed, tested, 
and launched in 11 weeks.

Responsible for the management and development of an in-house start-up e-operations entity. This involved  project plan development and management; leadership of business and technical teams; negotiation of development scope with 70-person technical team; liaison with existing C&W resources in multiple geographies worldwide; being the media spokesperson for the new e-operations entity; reporting directly to the global Senior VP for Bluefield; motivating the business and technical teams; winning the buy-in and support of the C&W product teams, and solving multiple problems simultaneously around how to implement their products through our channel.
 
We achieved our initial launch in 11 weeks from start of analysis & design, and have had major functional releases every 12 weeks since then.

Major client was Telstra International (2.5 years), where Cameron was the project leader, analyst and designer, for a variety of real time projects both on and offshore, aimed at improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of Telstra's international network.

Other clients included Franklins Supermarkets (upgrades to the Franklins Treasury System), David Jones (merchandising package selection), Telstra Corporate (analysis of requirements for SAP R3 Financials), and the NSW Dept of Sport, Recreation and Racing (systems test manager for the Racing Taxation System)

  Key Achievements during this period included the representation of Telstra in international forums devoted to the analysis and design of methods to inter-link all Pacific Rim telcos for the sharing of operational data. Pacific Partner conferences were attended in San Francisco, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, with representatives from all Pacific Rim telcos and specifically AT&T, KDD Japan, Telecom New Zealand, PLDT, and SingTel.
