New York Five - Gabby

The Story

Our friend Gabby was on a whirlwind world tour - Turkey, Czech Republic, USA - and so we met her in New York in October 2000 with two of her Canadian friends, Vicki and Paul (Mr "Arrrange"!!). We finally got a chance to see Madam Liberty up close, as well as Ellis Island, the original immigration processing point for the US from the late 1800s to the late 1900s.

The first three photos are from a business trip to New York - I had my camera ready, and snapped a couple of shots of La Guardia airport and the Manhattan skyline silhouetted against the most awesome sunset - it looked like the end of the world!
