Project Grace - August 2004

The Story

Project Grace is a documentary of Grace's first 365 days of life - in pictures.

The Photos - August 2004

Grace was born at the start of her 30th week of gestation. Josie had been in hospital for the preceding two weeks, trying to hold Grace in as long as possible to give her the best chance of surviving with no complications. We are very thankful that as of the date of writing, it appears to have worked - Grace is a very normal little baby girl.

Josie went in and out of labour for the two days prior to Grace's eventual arrival, finally delivering Grace by emergency ceaser at 1:16 pm on Wednesday 4th August. Grace spent the next 45 days in hospital.

The following images may not be pretty, and some are downright scary, but this is the way it was, and these pages try to capture Grace's incredible strength and will to live - she never, ever looked back once. "Begin as you mean to go on" - if that saying has merit, then Grace's life will prove to be truly amazing.
